How long does recovery from laser eye surgery take?

Recovery time after laser eye surgery depends on the technique used:

- LASIK: Most patients see sharply within 24 to 48 hours and can resume normal activities within a few days.

- PRK: Healing takes longer, usually 1 to 2 weeks, because the corneal surface must first recover. Fully stable vision may take several weeks to months.

- SMILE ReLEx: Recovery is usually within a few days, similar to LASIK, but with less dry eyes.

Slight irritation, blurred vision and dry eyes may occur during the first few days. Follow Focus Eye Clinic instructions carefully, use prescribed eye drops and avoid strenuous exercise, water contact and bright light in the first few weeks.
